When you are trying to imagine something that his pure, whole some and lives up in the skies above us what exactly do you think of? I wonder if the word angel comes to mind. Angels are said to be things of great beauty that all people should want to be one day, they also have the wonderful thing of eternal life. But that’s not the only term that we use the word angel, we also use it when someone is so well behaved we call them an angel.
An angel can be defined as one of a class of spiritual beings; a celestial attendant of God. In medieval angelology, angels constituted the lowest of the nine celestial orders (seraphim, cherubim, thrones, dominations or dominions, virtues, powers, principalities or princedoms, archangels, and angels). Angel is a conventional representation of such a being, in human form, with wings, usually in white robes.
The great thing about drawing angels, is that they can be interpreted in so many different ways by a wide variety of people. This is great for artists, because normally they do not like to be restricted, they like to use their imagination. Many people like to put up pictures of angels around their house because they represent something positive and will hopefully give off positive energy around the house. Not only that but you can do so many different things with angels or trying to depict one.
One way to do this is to draw a deceased person whose soul is regarded as having been accepted into heaven. Sometimes in drawings made by great artists you can see a story being told.If you go around to different countries around the world, it’s great to see what each different cultures imagine what an angel looks like. Because of great diversity it’s interesting to see how different artists from different countries like to show their talent of drawing angels.
